House Captains will demonstrate high standards in all they do. They will take a lead in delivering assemblies to their house as well as encouraging the children in their house to ‘be the best they can be’. House competitions and events (Summer house sports event) will also be led by these leaders. House will run activities on the back playground on their house team break days.

Sports Leaders

Many Year 6 children have chosen to be part of the Sports Leader’s team.

The Sports Leaders take responsibility for leading sporting activities for children at lunchtimes as well as promoting some sporting competitions with Mr Kerly and Mr Russell . They will help to run the house summer sports competitions with the house captains.

Student Council

The student council representatives attend School Council meetings and take forward the views of their class. Two of our council members will become part of the Cluster Council who will visit The Ferrers termly to meet with student councillors from other schools in the Higham and Rushden area.

Values Ambassadors

Many Year 6 children have chosen to be part of the Values Ambassador’s team.

These children are leaders of the school who value themselves and identify other children in school deserving of team points for demonstrating these values in action. They support children during assemblies and at break and lunchtimes. The Value Ambassador leads will organise the rotas for the ambassadors and will support them in their roles.
