We had a great assembly sharing all our work from our Road Trip USA topic. It all finished with us sharing our class videos where we had created an advertisement for a holiday to Florida. This linked in with work we had been doing in English writing persuasive holiday brochures before getting the green screen treatment to create our big screen advertisements.

For those of you who couldn't make the assembly see our video using the link below. We hope you enjoy!

Welcome to Florida 4EB

Hello and welcome to Miss Brayfield’s class page. This class is made up of 30 wonderful children who come together to make one great team full of unique talents and interests. We may have only been back at school just over a week but we are already well on our way with our learning journey this year and we are excited for the things we are going to learn.

Our first topic which we are very excited about is “Road Trip USA!”….Can I get a yeehaa? We are going to exploring all about the United States of America and what makes it great. We’ve already started visiting some places and Los Angeles seemed to be a firm favourite! Some of the food tasting went down very well as well….sweet and sticky! We will also be learning more about the Native American Iroquois tribe and their way of life. Travel agents of the future are being created in Year 4 and we can’t wait to share all our knowledge with you.

For your information we normally have our PE sessions on a Monday morning and Friday afternoon.

I love reading and want the children to love it as much as I do. We are trying really hard to work as a team to ensure we all read for 10 minutes every night. Every time we read we also get to roll the dice on the Readopoly game to move round the board and pick up Book Bucks. We appreciate all your help you give us for reading at home and signing our reading diaries.

Hello and welcome to Miss Brayfield's class page.

We are a lively, happy bunch of year 3 and 4 children. We have 30 children in our class - 14 year 3's and 16 year 4's. We hope you wlll find lots of interesting information about the work we have been doing in our class and different things we can do at home.

In English we are working hard on our sentence building to write our own traditional tale in the style of 'The Three Little Pigs'. Our new favourite words are ferocious and vicious - I bet you can't guess what character that is describing?!

In Maths we have been working hard to improve our fractions knowledge - lots of pizza and chocolate - who knew maths could be so yummy? Challenge your children to work out 1 or 2 thirds of a number - can they succeed?

We are eager to reclaim our winning form in Accelerated Reader - we won the trophy in the first term before losing out to Mr Russell's class. Miss Brayfield checks our reading every day to make sure we are reading as much as possible. Our new reading lessons are called 'Book Talk' which definitely makes reading fun! For spellings we have 'spelling zappers'! Every time we spell a word right at home we can zap the word in one of the corners. 4 zaps and the word gets super zapped with a giant Z!

At the moment our topic in History and Geography is The Romans. We had great fun during the first lesson where we got to look at some Roman artefacts including a Roman helmet!

Swimming is our new favourite lesson for this term! We love splashing about every Friday afternoon and working hard to build up our swimming achievements.
